Sustainably grown in the Mississippi Delta, this long-grain black rice is high in antioxidants, protein, iron, and fiber. Similar to brown rice, black rice has a nutty, earthy flavor with a springy chew. When cooked properly, the kernels don't stick together.
Add 1 cup of rice, a pinch of salt, and 2 cups of water to a large pot. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce to simmer, and cook for 35-45 minutes until the liquid is absorbed. Rest for 10 minutes then serve.
