Fashionably Late - Old Fashioned

I love a good Old-Fashioned, especially one made with rum … from Barbados! Some rums are great, but sometimes we just need that extra touch of flavor and sweetness. If that’s what you’re looking for, especially during the colder months, then look no further. This recipe does the trick.

  1. Combine all ingredients into a short, elegant glass.
  2. Add a single large ice cube and swirl for 10 seconds (until chilled)
  3. Garnish with a star anise and freshly grated nutmeg

Few notes:

  • The grated nutmeg is phenomenal; I’ve never tried this with an old-fashioned before. I was hesitant at first, but it turned out great!
  • If this is too sweet for you, reduce the Tippleman's or just add a few more dashes of bitters.
